Default Check engine light! Again?

So this is really just a rant. I have own dozens of cars. I currently have a 93 Chevy PU, 96 Astro van( the babe magnet) and a 00 Toyota MR2.... And the 04 Dicovery. I have never seen the light on the truck. The light came on once in the van, bad O2 sensor. And the Toyota, well, it's a Toyota. It seems like the light in the Discovey is always on?? It rains on the East Coast, my light comes on. Do these things run too close to the ragged edge with no head room? I'll throw a code and never see it again. I bought an Ultra Guage just so I could monitor and clear the trouble codes. Oh, BTW, this week it is a P0171 and P0174.

The 03 and 04 usually have ULEV, and will set a code if the passenger breaks wind too loudly. The earlier D2 are a little less troublesome, assuming they aren't LEV (the cars with SAI).

Edit: though I see you're in Kalifornia, so pretty much everything since 2000 will have SAI.
