Check Engine Light stays on
99 DII 137,000 miles....I put in 2 new O2 sensors on the drivers side, and the check engine light stays on, took it for a good ride every day for 3 days and its still on... what am i doing wrong? do i need to check my codes and delete them and drive it or what? i dont have an obdII but i
can go borrow my mechanics and read them,ill report baCk with the codes. i need to have the light go off so i can get an inspection

Let us know what the codes are. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it will probably be plugs and wires. Don't buy anything else till you have new codes though.

I had my mechanic read the code(s) in the computer, they were P0134 No sensor activity... he cleared the code and it stayed off for as long as i had it running... after stopping to get gas, back on the road again the light came back on... im sure its the same code comin up.

okay, ill look into getting the 2 sensors for the other side... so after installing these, that no activity Code should go away and not come back after clearing?
