Default Misfire and the check engine light stays on

i am having a problem with my 2001 RR. The problems I am having is one, I can't acelerate normal. two when it reachs around 45 to 50 mph it starts to shake. This started after i got an tune up, When i took it to a mechanic he says that it was the wrong spark plugs. So we change them and it is the same results. Do anyone have an idea what is the problem? Have anybody experiencee this?

I think it might be the coil pack, or O2 sensors or calastyic(misspell) converter. Is there any way to find out was the specific problem is? how hard is it to change the coil pack if that is the problem?

Need help

How many miles on the truck, is the check engine light on, if so go get the fault codes read and get back to us with them. What spark plugs did he install, how about plug wires, have they been changed?

I have 69k miles, I have Champion spark plugs. He did change the wires when the tune up was done. When I took it to this Land Rover/Jaguar specialist, when they checked it out they said was all they saw was the bad spark plugs, but clearly that wasn't the case, especially if I am having the same problem as before.

will do.......

how hard is to change the coil pack on the 01 RR? Is that a real mechanic job, or it can be done at your home?

And how much is a coil pack?

Default Me too

I am having the very same problem. I have an 03 disco with the 4.8 liter engine. About a week ago the engine started a strange vibration and the check engine light came on. I have a loss of power and terrible fuel economy (around 60 miles per 1/4 tank). Would it be the pollution control valve, or does it have one? I suppose it could be the O2 sensor? Any thoughts??
