Agreed, I meant just bigger tyres, don't know why I wrote it like that.

And broken coil springs is a VERY common problem over here, 99% of the time its the front left spring. Maybe its to do with the heavier Diesel lump, our crappy roads or whatever, but it happens a LOT

I think it will look great with flares. The one weak area I've noticed on mine was it's soft suspension. In conjunction with a low slung suspension, off road it tends to bounce all over the place making body damage difficult to avoid. But you gotta take things one mod at a time.

These are the picks that I have ever so procrastinated on... I've been real busy at work and have done a little body work each night as I get a chance...
I'm still not done but I wanted to at least show you guys that I'm getting there... I still have to do a little more filler to get how I want it and then I will mask off and tape so that the bed liner spray will resemble that of the original flares... other than that I do plan on lifting the front only for added clearance as I do not plan on adding bump stops.... Oh and my back doors hold real tight when crossing rivers... No seepage.... When I'm all done with the bed liner spray, I'll get some close ups of all the places that I've done the most cutting.... Happy Trimming To All!!!!

The Wheels are made by Fuel, they are called Hostage, custom drilled w/-12 offset 18x10.
Tires are Toyo, Mud Terrains, 33x12.5x18

Sorry I didn't wash before the pics

I must agree with Disco Mike. I would be concerned with the condition of the shocks and coil springs, if they are the original ones from date of manufacture you can be sure thy are worn out and should be replaced.

The second picture showing the cutout - that would not pass inspection here, you would have to have flares to keep tires from protrding on the sides like that.

Most concened with the condition showing icture 3 - it appears that the rear fender is about to slice into the rear tire on the passenger side. If you go much higher with that front tire, you will most likely slice the rear tires and screw up the sheet metal as well. Then you go ahead and arve away some more metal and maybe put even bigger tires on.

But it is Your Truck, do whatever you feel like with it.

Have Fun, Drive it Like You Stole It, Carve It Up As Much As You Like.

You could trim the front bumper or get a offroad bumper. I found that the stock bumper sucks offroad.

I love the innovation and that you are doing something different. If it is a wheeling rig then it does not matter how much body damage it gets since it will get more than you ever thought it would. I can see though that under full stuff in the front if you have to turn hard for an obsticle you will push in the fender a little.

I have seen the Jeep that has had a similar thing done, the difference is that they widened the body as well to help balance out the look. I think looks wise that is all it needs, more balance in proportions.

Good Luck.
