A good LR tech will know the fix just by usually listening to the owner. It will get quickly handled and outta there. However that now days is almost a thing of the past because everyone is about #'s or $$$.
My best friend was a 25 year LR tech and when he did work on a customers RRC/D1/D2/D90 he'd either get a list of issues, or talk with the customer. Within minutes he was checking things, and usually within 5min half the list was resolved. You will not find that kind of skill at an automotive shop that works on domestic cars. Sure they might be able to fix it in a few days after researching it, but nah most of the time taking it to a true LR independent shop = night and day.

kinda sad now these days I feel like they don’t even listen. Don’t take the time and maybe they don’t care
