Chevy Fan Clutch, works on a D2?
Planning springtime maintenance. Part of that includes the fan clutch.
I've read a lot that a Chevy van clutch (non-ac) can work on the disco 1. Nothing about the disco 2. I'd imagine it'd work.
But, does it work AS WELL? Although cost is important, this is a Utah desert build, and will need to be able to keep up with low-speed high outside ambient temps.
If I go with the chevy clutch, will I need a new fan?
Or should I just go all "stock" and keep it maintained?
Part of the maintenance also includes radiator, hoses, etc, so I've already got that covered.
Thanks

Dane, thanks for the heads up. I'm assuming you mean the Hayden unit? Have you checked temps with the ultraguage, does it work any better, same? I'm just wondering if a severe-duty will overspeed the plastic fan..
