Default Chip or Remap worth it?

Anyone had much experience doing either a "chip" install or remapping the ecu on their 4.0? Something like using EFI Live on a Chevy? If so is it worth it? Gains? I am not really looking for huge gains because i know i will not get them, that is until a pallet with an LLY on it and my rover get drunk one night in my garage..... which is to come. I am just looking for something that will help the rover "run" better, maybe a little more aggressive on the shift points and such. I have seen that there isnt much out there but thought i would check if anyone on here is doing custom tuning on them....or if that is really even possible.

Anything is possible if you have enough money.
But without rebuilding the engine you will only make your wallet lighter, and if that is your goal then let me give you my address.

These engines are so basic that you can put a 4BBL carb on it if you wanted to.
DI guys do it all the time, $1000 and you can convert a '95 to a 4bbl double pumper carb and performance air intake.
