Default Clean Oil

It has been about 1500 miles since my last oil change, and the oil is still crystal clear. So clear you can barely even see it on the dipstick. Needless to say, I am pretty excited about it.

Question though, the shop that did it I am sure uses cheap oil, that is why I never go more than 3k miles. It just not convenient to change the oil where I am unfortunately.
However, the oil level is at or even a bit above the max line on the dip stick, should I worry about draining some? I feel like it will probably leak out anyway.

Mine is almost constantly just a touch over (2 or 3 mm). I wouldn't worry about it. It hasn't caused me any problems yet.

Just keep an eye on the color. If it doesn't get too dark then you should be fine for ~5k. I'm going to try for 7k, but I'm also using royal purple with a Mobil 1 filter on a freshly partially rebuilt and degunked engine.

A tad over full line is ok. But ,a high quality oil will start looking darker sooner than a lower quality oil in same conditions because its doing its job and cleaning and absorbing the way it should , if oil doesn't get dark, either new fresh engine(with nice piston rings and valve guides) or its non detergent cheap oil that isn't doing the job.
