Cleaned injectors!!!
paid my brother a visit today and brought the injector-rail along with me. He obviously tested injectors a time or 2, as he busted out with a Ford fuel injector harness, a battery, syringe, fuel, and some wire with alligator clips. Oh and some tubing. I removed each injector from rail, tested spray pattern, replaced O-rings and reinstalled to fuel rail. Like brand new, not even a hitch. They all sprayed well. The lower O-rings were gone and the top ones at the rail weren't bad but all are replaced and unit is good to go. now to move on to bigger things, like a gasket kit that will work. This Reinz setup is junk. For anyone in the market on a head gasket replacement kit, get something other than Reinz. The only one that fit was the cylinder head gasket. Awaiting response from area sales rep on the fitment issues.

Good to know man. The guy that did mine found one of mine was partially blocked. Got it all fixed up. It's supposed to not rain tomorrow and I'm off so hopefully I can get it assembled. I still think this is gonna be a bit longer than expected since I'm not waiting on a water pump, front cover gasket, oil pump n timing chain n gears. I'm even gonna go ahead and replace that front crank seal. Might as well go ahead and do it all instead of cursing later that I didn't do it when I had easy access.
absolutely do it all at once and never look back. Get the oil pressure sender seal replaced to so that you don't even have to look at the damn thing and wonder. I don't know where you stand on the rear-main but if that's the 1 seal you don't replace then so be it!

Well I'm not dropping the transmission for that damn thing. To be honest, I haven't been leaking oil.....I know it's a major surprise but I figure might as well be proactive
When I did my head gasket, I had a place in Portland rebuild mine, same results, all flow the same now and two of mine were over 90% plugged. I have always done injectors when I do head gaskets, it just seems that since they are out anyhow, it might as well be done.
Im with ya on that one. I've always done it that way on every vehicle I've ever done. Just a little extra insurance and even though I put a can of royal purple in the tank every oil change, it never hurts. One of my biggest complaints with the d2 is no inline fuel filter.
yeah, you gotta check your injectors, get your originals rebuilt, or just trade-in for a set of rebuilt units. Way too much work to overlook a component like the fuel injector that can and will trip faults or affect performance. I have never had to rebuild an engine, so with everything laying out, you can address each component individually and decide wether to rebuild, replace, refurbish, or what have you.

Well I've thought about it but I think it would cause more trouble than it's worth honestly. I pulled the pump out a few weeks ago and the mesh was surprisingly clean. I think it helps out that is a plastic tank instead of metal and with premium gas, less chance of bad stuff plus I only get gas at gas stations I trust and newer ones that way I know the tanks are good
Jeez.. your brother sounds like MacGyver. lol
