Cleaned MAF, Throttle Body and IACV Valve. Now my motor dies after start up. WTH?
Hopefully it'll reset and run properly without needing the adaptive values reset. I know I tried to swap out a MAF on a friends D2 out on the trail with my spare once and his D2 didn't idle properly and set several CEL faults.
1) check for codes. Might be codes which are pending.
Use http://enginecodemaster.com for codes.
2) Check every hose for an air leak. IAC - you need to get that on really tight.
3) If you rubbed the hot wire in the MAF with something - then you probably ruined it.
If you sprayed in CRC sensor cleaner when the wire was hot - that may have goofed it up too. I have sprayed in sensor cleaner with the engine running - no issues.
4) Make sure the temp sensor is on - on the front of the manifold.
5) Make sure the temp sensor for the air box is on too.
6) Make sure your CEL light really does work and there are not codes in there.
