Default Clear Coat

What is the best way to do a clear coat recovery? I have a 2003 DII icelandic blue, and I'd like to restore the paint.

Same as most any car. Depends if its just faded or flaking and peeling.

If its just faded, give it a wash and use a clay bar to remove any contaminants, polish it up starting with a cutting compound and a fine polish then use a ceramic coating to protect it.

If its peeling, you'll have to wet sand starting at 1000 grit, respray clear coat wet sand again at around 2000 if you get any orange peeling, polish and use a ceramic.

Theres lots of detailed guides on YouTube you can check out.

- you have a paint shop blast down to primer - windows out of course - then you block and sand - prime - repaint and clear coat - it will look beautiful but cost you $15,000
