I would start spraying them everyday, a couple times a day w Kroll or ATF mixed with Acetone. Take your time, a busted bolt makes this much more complicated. I wonder if you could tighten them slightly to close the leak? I would look at replacing them w new ones if you do take them out, I think Lucky 8 sells a set
I’m going to give tightening a try, and/or replacing them. The gasket replacement is the last thing I want to do.
@fowlerjk04 I bit of advice 3/8's standard sized ratchet drive not use a cheater bar or bigger ratchet. If you strip one those you will have a bad time, the least amount of force you can use is best when working with aluminum threads
Lots of penetrating oil before hand and during. My experience is that tightening a best gets you a month or two at best, before you have to do the gaskets
Well, as it turns out I was chasing the wrong thing.
I have the SAI plumbing and I had broken the flex aluminum from the little filter to the block when I replaced the valve cover gaskets. I rigged a heater hose for a temporary fix. It finally gave out. I didn’t see it before because the crack was just too small.
So, new question. This SAI assembly appears to be a single piece. Has anyone else fashioned a replacement for just part of it?
