Climate control lighting
Hello everyone,
Just bought a 00 Discovery II, and I have a few questions:
1. I noticed that majority of the buttons on the Climate Control (in dash) does not light up at night. Right now, only the passenger temperature adjustment lights are lit. Are the bulbs in easily replaceable sizes, or are they LEDs that needs to be soldered on?
2. Are there any good instructions online for removing the dash (where the A/C controls and radio are)? I'd like to attempt to replace the bulbs on my own if possible, and check out the stereo while I'm there.
Thanks a million for your help!

As far as I know the blubs aren't LED, they are tiny bulbs with colored covers on them, or at least the ones I've replaced are. I don't know how to get the dash apart but I know you can find the tiny little bulbs at Radio Shack.
welcome to the forum. First the lights are lights. small bulbs. most electronic stores carry them. call first. also check larger auto parts stores. they may have them. The best instruction on the disassembly of the dash is in the manual. I don't have a scanner so i can't send them. Check on ebay if you want to buy a manual. the disc will work, I prefer the old fashion book. I recommend you do get the book. Haynes also has a book on the disco. I have not seen it. Most of their books are okay. Hope it helps, gotta love a rover. duboff.
