Default Climate control buttons back lighting out

Hi guys first I want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum as I would not be enjoying my old girl with out the valuable knowledge/experience gleaned from this forum.
I have been able to fix everything so far but have been stumped by this issue: when I turn on my headlights all of my dash lights work with the exception of the clock light and the 8 small climate control buttons including the drivers temp control (passenger side temp control lights up) … everything works as it should just no button back lighting at night with the lights on. Here is a picture to help show what is happening. I have checked all of the fuses inside and under the hood but everything looks good. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

have you tried replacing any bulbs yet, they are 13 years old.
if you need bulbs i think AB sells a kit that gives you all the bulbs,
some are green some are white.

YouTube has videos on how to remove..You need to replace the bulbs, I had to do the exact same on my rig when I bought it. The bulbs are like 7 bucks piece, I freaked when I purchased them. The bulbs between the clock and the climate control unit differ i believe. It sucks not being able to see your heater controls at night driving down the road...

I believe the "green" ones just have little green bulb condoms over the white bulb.

You can also buy LED bulbs to replace all of the bulbs in the A/C head and they will probably outlast the truck. Removing the A/C head and replacing the bulbs is pretty easy to do but a bit fiddly.

Thanks everyone for the information ... got the bulbs replaced and all is good. FYI , I used a feeler gauge to slide into the side and release the clips on the side of the climate control and it worked great. Tried a small standard screw driver but it was a little to wide. Hope this helps!
