Clutch change...gearbox drop. fan clearance?

] Has any one had experience of changing a clutch on a Discovery series 2?
With the series 1 the radiator fan has to be removed so as not to damage the radiator when the gearbox/engine is tilted.Is this the same on the Series 2 or is there enough clearance.
The landrover GDR technical site maintenance manual makes no reference to removing the fan and I suspect it should.
