Clutch master slave cylinder help
Hi
hoping someone will know and can advise.
yesterday driving the clutch pedal went loose, can’t engage into gear..
my partner is on the job of removing the clutch master and slave cylinder.
he is saying the clutch pedal doesn’t go all the way down, but isn’t sure if that is normal.
also on removing the slave cylinder the rod that connects to the release bearing in the bell housing, he pulled it out but it won’t go back in… how far is it supposed to be in? But initially is was all the way in.

Are there any leaks anywhere? Crack the bleeder on the slave and see if fluid comes out. Could be that the seals have just gone bad in one or the other - if that's the case I'd replace both.
