Default Co-pilot Seat Fuse problem

I have a problem with the 40amp fuse in the co-pilot seat, it burns after a couple of seconds of using the controls, I keep replacing them and it keeps burning them.

Any ideas????

Thanks,

Default RE: Co-pilot Seat Fuse problem

You could have a seat motor that has an internal short or the seat motor is binding due to a seat frame that may be slightly twisted or cracked causing the motor to over load and trip the fuse

Default RE: Co-pilot Seat Fuse problem

i had the same problem with my 03, it was a wire harness getting pinched in the seat, right where the upright meets the base, the fuse would only blow when i tried to adjust the the seat back. to locate the wire just look behind the plastic panel on the outboard side of the pivot point of the seat and look for a frayed wire the exposed area was very small in my case i just used some electrical tape.
