It might be worthwhile to start a thread with our cumlative code experience to summarize how each was resolved. I can start with my recent code issue and resolution:

2003 Discovery, 112,000 miles

Codes: 300, 301, 306, 1300

Symptoms: Lumpy idle, worsening miss at highway speeds

Resolution: New spark plug wires and spark plugs, now smooth as silk

Cost: less than $100, installed myself

Time: repairs took about 4 hours

Specialty tools needed: None except "bent screwdriver" (see maintenance sticky)
