Hey Shane- I'm gunna be losing about 20% of my Horse Power when I move from Michigan to Colorado- what's the deal with this "ECU Chip" of yours? Is that in the Porsche, or the Rover?

Forget the chips, they won't help you a bit at alltitude, just plan on driving a Disco with apx. 50 less horse power that gets worse mileage.

Regards,
Usually when you clear 100,000 miles the 02's start slowing down and being less effective which is why many change all 4 out.
If you have a "GOOD" scanner then you could read the signals from each 02 and replace them as necessary in pairs.

Haha, bummer- but thanks Mike- at least I don't have to go chasing that ghost.

The good thing is, I guess everyone up there has a bit less power. Man, my Disco was pretty weak up there in CO. It held the revvs for way too long, and shifted harder, and everything.

Is there an adjustment to make in the computer for the altitude? Will my Rover ever get 'used' to it? I'm fine with less power, but it sounded like it was gasping up there.

No adjustments that you can make, the ECU will compensate for some altitude change, the rest you will need to live with like the rest of us.
By the way, I good tune up will help and our gas is cheaper here then in most places.

Roger that, thanks Mike. I think I'm good on tune ups for a while.

My scanner isn't that good I believe, I would like to get one though, any suggestions? And on the O2 situation, worse that can happen is I change out the front ones, and it still throws codes.. Then i know where the problem is.. everything else is running good and not throwing ANY codes back at me thus far...

Pat, on the ecu chips, those were in my Porsche... I just sold that one and i'm looking for a 1997 911 Turbo "S"... Twin turbo, i have had my eye on one for quite some time now, one owner, low miles, the guy just doesn't want to part with it... I'm working on it though!

And hey Mike, let me know a good scanner like that between 150-200.. I am game to get one of those.

Best regards all,

Go to, http://www.canobd2.com/ and read up on the 3130 under the products section. I bought one 2 months ago and it has all the features you'll ever need except for the ABS.
If interested, then go to Amazon, where I bought mine, I paid around $134 for it, better then 1/2 off.
