Hey now, i ment LR in general...not your rig.. I think you would have done a better job if you where running the engineering dept at LR...MAybe mine would be still running..... I applaud your enthusium though....you never seem to give up...mine is still sitting in my driveway with a burnt motor as i am too lazy to start tearing it apart as it's 100 degrees here...Maybe this winter...

Spike, thoughts and prayers for you and your wife...

To update: New gas cap and no more codes so fingers crossed. For the oxygen sensor, part just came in so putting it on this weekend, car is running really rough, no codes but hopefully this will fix it.

Quick question: Should I just replace one sensor or both front bank sensors?

Always do O2's in pairs. Glad the gas cap cleared that code.

Default Knocking

Hey all just wanted to pick this back up on this knocking sound I am hearing.

When I start the car I don't hear it until I put it in gear then i hear the knocking, not to loud but its there. When i accelerate cold its loud (sounds like a diesel) but as the car warms up its virtually gone. Only time I hear when the car is warm is under acceleration, while the car is at speed I don't hear anything.

What I gather from reading alot of these posts are that I need to do an oil pressure test and get the numbers. Outside of that is there anything else I can look at? Not a mechanic so laymans terms would be appreciated.

Default To close this out...

Just wanted to close this thread out...as i said before gas cap was replaced and I replaced the Drivers side front bank O2 sensor. The rough idle and codes are gone now, car runs smoothly again. I couldn't get to the Passenger side sensor so that will have to wait for another day.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Glad to hear the gas cap and O2 sensor fixed your problems. Good luck with the knock.
