Default coil conversion

Hi , I am new to Land Rovers . I bought a 2000 Disco and it has brand new air bags but they wont pump up . I looked around a bit and fuses are ok, but I am just thinking about buying coils and be done with it. I see there is coils from 100 to 500 bucks on ebay. Does anyone know what's the cheapest way to go and still have a decent ride ? Does anyone has used ones for sale ? Thanks a lot !
PS . Also, how bad is the ride after coils in general ?

Ride is fine with coils. Lots of people have done the conversion.
You will also need access to a scanner device that can program your suspension type.

Why do I need the scanner ? My airbags are not working right now and I don't have any lights on my dash. What would be different when I take the bags out ? Thanks

If your truck is programmed for bags, it will try to run the compressor and may give suspension errors. Programming it for coils prevents this.
There are plenty of threads that detail the process and the impact.

Tons of threads about that too. You need something that physically plugs into the OBDII port on the truck, but not all devices can change the truck's settings.
So no, not software.

Are your air bags actually leaking or is your car not programmed to think it has them? I’m just wondering because you aren’t getting any lights either.

No leaks , the compressor is not pumping for some reason . It was working last time it was parked few months ago . I looked at the fuses and they look good. Not sure where to go from here . I mean I know how to troubleshoot electrical and all, that but not sure if I should **** with it. You have any idea where to go next to make it easier for me ? Thanks
