Coil spring conversion
I just finished my coil spring conversion and new shocks!!!
I will not have to worry about the air suspension anymore.
I should have done this a long time ago !!

coils springs
yes the holes are there and we had to tap them out to 10mm.
took about 15 mins
I also put on new shocks as well
the whole operation took about 2 hours, and we had never done anything like this before.
my friend had the jacks, jack stand, and the tools.

How often do air springs go bad? I'm asking because I really don’t see a lot of threads on the subject. So why do people spend so much time "worrying" about them?
I could see maybe doing this if there were a problem and either a spring or compressor needed replacement but why replace a perfectly functioning system? Unless I'm missing something.

kcabpilot, my problem is that my rear airbags keep deflating and because they are so expensive I want to switch over to the hassle free coil spring suspension. The only thing stopping me from doing it right now is that I am not sure on how to handle the compressor once I have converted to spring.
