What are the symptoms? We need more details to answer your question. Such as; is it getting spark and fuel, etc. Mine started in 9 degree weather yesterday without a problem.

Or even more basic, is it cranking at a good speed?

OK... fair enough. I just thought there might be something weather related that I was missing...

It is cranking fine. I even hooked it up to my 2500 Duramax to jump it, just in case it was a battery issue (I have an Optima Yellow Top so I didn't figure it was a battery issue).

I was too lazy (and too damn cold) to fool with a fuel pressure gauge, so I depressed the fuel valve and it squirted out a little bit, but not as much as I would figure with 30psi pressure.

If it is a fuel problem, is there anything that would cause low fuel pressure at cold temps?

Hmm. I got mine started at -10 the other day. It moaned a little but it started. Have you gotten it started since?

Mine is start OK at -35, the last few days.
When was your engine last tuned, including a new Rover cap and rotor, plugs and wires? What octane gas are you running and when was the fuel filter last changed?
Might want to prime the injectors by first turning the key to the second position for 5 seconds, do this 3 times then see how it starts.

Ice in the fuel filter or pickup would certainly reduce the fuel pressure.

Default warmed up - problem still here

well, the weather has warmed up a bit, and it will crank but not start. Now that I have two rovers that won't run, I am going to just take them somewhere this week and have them looked at.

I like to fix my own trucks, but now is the absolute worst time....

Does anyone have a mechanic they can recommend in Northern Colorado?

matt
