team, friend of mine gave me a set of 17 inch rims with new Cooper ST that he had on his D3. Tried them out but the first hurdle was the D2 nuts would not fit. Borrowed a set of D3 nuts and put one of the tyres on the right rear...seemed to fit fine....question can anyone see or know of any reason why putting them on might not be a good idea and also where I might be able to get some D3 wheel nuts...cheers Jonathan in Australia 99/2000 D2 230K km.

 

Do the wheels fit snug on the centering hub? I think that was the only thing I thought I heard about LR3 wheels was that they would feel unbalanced sometimes because there was something different about how they centered on the hub. I could be wrong.

 

I have heard that as well I think I need to put spigot rings on as well to ensure they balance out. 1999/2000 D2 - 230000K - everything works...
