Can everything be installed with the transfer case in place or would I need to drop it? this looks like what I need for my D2

FYI you have an 03 so you probably don't have the right transfer case, but it's also a time consuming job if you've never done it before.

Thank you for the link - that's a great write up.

Actually I do - there are some oddities on the market here in the UAE: 2003 4L with the famous "nipple" (and it works when operated by hand - I have the burns to prove it). Plus my vehicle also has a 4.6L engine in it (fitted under warranty when young) so heaven only knows what transmission etc came with that - but I am 100% sure that the CDL is there.

Lucky me

You probably have sweet GSS equipment fitted(gulf state) that a lot of UAE/Saudi trucks had.

Oh

Quick note- The unit you bought has the HI LO selector housing, so you don't need to make a Dog leg with the HI LO linkage, just switch out the housing and it will all meet up perfect.
