compression test results!

Default compression test results!

1995 disco. 113,XXX miles. engine temp: operating temp. WOT. battery hooked up to a charger.


156 O O 159
130 O O 136
150 O O 170
169 O O 154 psi
FRONT

what do yall think? blown head gasket? ima test it again wet, see if da numbers improve.

I don't know besides 3,4 the rest are about the same compression across the cylinders. Maybe you have some bad valves or rings on 3,5,6. Squirt some oil in to see if it is the valve or rings. Are you losing coolant?

A leakdown test may be more useful.

I doubt it is head gaskets, if they were that bad, you would be over pressurizing the coolant system.
Need to do a wet compression test and or a leak down and you'll probably find a valve issue.

with 2 opposing cylinders showing low you could also have a worn cam

Doubtful, if it were a couple warn lobes, you would have slack on the push rod and internal engine noise at all RPM's.

i think i might be losing a tiny bit of coolant. i noticed a small amount missing in the expansion tank, but i didnt notice any leaks. ill preform a wet compression test but would anybody mind telling be how to preform a leak down? thanks for the advice!

You need a leak down tester and a compressor. You pressurize the cylinder and see how much pressure leaks out.
