Default computer chips

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site but I'm wondering if anyone any thoughts on computer chips or are they just a waste of money?

I think that in a Rover they are a waste of money. I know that they work in Ford/Chevy/Dodge trucks with diesels, but not in Rovers.

I think that computer chips are great, I use them everyday. Heck I wouldn't be on this forum without them. As forin a Disco, other than whatthey already have, notso good. Can you even get an aftermarketchip for a gas engine?

Powerchips.. RPI chips (over seas) or you can do the micro tuner or something.. You pretty much program your own chip, but you best know what your doing.

That is great. I got a good chukle out of that comment.

Yes you can get power chips for gas engines. The dealer told me that I can go from 222 HP to over 250 in my wifes Volvo station wagon with a $50 chip. (not yet but it will be done)
