Default Condensation Problem

For a couple of weeks I've been trying to figure out why my front driver and passenger floorboards keep being wet with complete lack of rain. I've been running the a/c of course, it being 90-100 degrees every day. I haven't noticed any leaks whatsoever....until today that is. I was dropping a friend off and walked around to the passenger side and noticed a pretty steady stream of water (not antifreeze) coming out from under the plastic trim that runs between the seats. It was coming out under the trim, but behind the radio close to the glove box, where the foot vents are for heat. about 5 min later it started dripping from the same place on the driver's side. Any ideas? Is something stopped up? I did a search but didn't really find anything helpful.

Your A/C drains could be clogged. They are under the truck on both sides of the transmission. You will see a nipple. Some people have used a wire hanger to open then up. For me I just wiggled it a bit and a bunch of water came out. Just be careful with it.

Normally when you drive the with the A/C you should see a puddle of water when you park and return to the truck.

But you also say it came from the foot vents. I have never experienced that before so you might have something else on your hands. But the drains would be worth a shot.

dont bother trying to access the drains until the truck has been sitting for a few hours.

I'll check the drains after the engine cools off

Just went out and got up under it, didn't see any nipples or lines hanging down. are they black lines with nipples hanging down like I pictured? Or are they way up behind something? Are they on each side of the transmission pan area, transfer case area, where? thanks

The most obvious one should be on the passenger side. You won't see a line, it's just a black nipple. It drips on to the back part of the drive shaft. It might take some time to find.

They are hard to find, they will have a "X" on the end of them, they do not hang down, they just poke out of the floor on either side of the trans, under the truck.
Wear goggles because you will get a face full of water and junk.

Search the D2 forum for drain nipple. One of the threads has pictures of a member's nipples.

(OK, the member's vehicle's nipples)
