Default Confused about brakes...

So I really need to replace my front rotors and put new pads all around. Is it okay to just replace the front rotors? Or should I do all four? Money is a bit tight, so I'm hoping just the front is kosher.

What do I need to do this? It looks like Atlantic British only has the rear rotor genuine part...ahhh! So much to think about.

I really want to start adding fun stuff to my Disco, but I feel I should be the responsible owner and do the preventative maintenance before I start spending what little money I have on, well, the suspension I want. Sigh.

Thanks again for all the help!

yes its perfectly ok just to change the front rotors, as a "ball park" figure, you wouldchange 2 or 3 sets of frontdiscs to every set of rear discs as the rears don't work anywhere near as hard as the fronts.

What you use is up to you, genuine stuff you can be sure will do the job, but there is other makes of stuff as well. Its all down to choice / budget and availability

up and up are right

fronts will wear way more often then the rears. so feel ok that replacing your fronts alone will be fine. just use good stuff and not cheap crap.

Which pads to get depends on your budget.
I would spend more on the fronts than the rears.
