Default Continuous audible alarm (once over 30kph)

Hi,

finally I am an owner of DII. Having studied the forum a little bit - i have followed the advice of "rftm" (page 72) but i could not see a solution to my problem.

The problem is ... as soon as I go over 30kph a continuous alarm can be heard. You would think it is "fasten seat belt" alarm but in the manual it says it should stop after 6 seconds latest:

Seat belt reminder

If the driver's seat belt has not been fastened
when the starter switch is turned on, a warning
chime will sound (one second
frequency). The chime operates in conjunction
with the seat belt warning light and sounds for
6 seconds, or until the seat belt is fastened
(whichever occurs first).

Any idea what this could be?

Any warning lights on? Does your truck have SLS, or was it recently converted from SLS to coil springs?

I had the same warning sound on my dads truck after converting from SLS to regular coil springs in the rear.

Sounds like it has been swapped from bags to springs like zoso said. If you do have coil springs on the back then just unplug the sensors on both sides and it should stop. That's how I fixed my alarm after swapping.

If you go to any of the ARS rallies, I can reprogram your slabs computer to coils instead of SLS. I just have to remember to bring the scanner.

Good to know! I keep trying to go to one, but ofcourse something always comes up and I have to change my plans. Whenever I finally make it to one I'll try and send you a message before hand.

Daras, did you fix the problem? What was the cause in the end?

Daras posted exactly once (the message above), three years ago. I don't think you're going to get a response.
