Contrary to popular believe Disco 2 wiper blades do work just fine

Nobody said D2 wiper arms are more superior. But they look better and they belong on a D2 so opted to stick with them. Not everyone prefers to rip out the air suspension, disable ACE and swap out the D2 wiper setup for D1 setup. Some of us would rather maintain our vehicles and keep them the way they were intended and enjoy all the features these vehicles have to offer. That alright with you? If anyone wants to rip off their D2 wiper arms/blades and switch to something else more power to you. Im happy with my D2 wiper setup. Video shows a clean happy windshield so I cant complain nor can I justify putting on ugly *** wipers from a D1.
My question to you D1 guys: What is superior about D1 wiper arms/blades? Aside from cheaper walmart wiper blades? If I recall my D1 wiper setup was not any better even after replacing the wipers. Tried flat blades and still not much better.
Hey maybe we can try Range Rover wiper arms/blades!

Yeah, I don't really care either. I just figured, unless there was some compelling superiority, anyone would prefer paying up to 75% less for basically the same thing. I didn't consider that some people might actually care about wiper arm aesthetics.

I do like the beefier style of the D2 wiper arms. However, replacement cost of the D1 blades was my main decision criteria.
I changed from the D2 wipers to the D1 version. The latter has more consistent pressure across the entire blade with the double spring design. In addition, it rains here quite often in the Pacific NW. I typically change my wiper blades twice to thrice a year. The D1 wipers are more easily available and cheaper.

I never buy OEM Landrover blades now, they are highway robbery, in France they charged €66 for the front pair, that's circa $88 . I usually buy Bosch or Trico as the heat in the summer destroys any blade quickly. They sell rubbish French ones in the supermarkets for about €12 a pair which are good enough for winter and even summer. As for changing wiper arms, couldn't be bothered, just change the springs in the D2 arms if they get lazy and stretched. You can buy a selection box of assorted springs in the UK for a couple of dollars.
