The FJ doesnt have a fully boxed ladder frame. Or full time four wheel drive. What would insurance cost you compaired to the DII?

 

FJ's have a nice engine / tranny, rear diff lock, aftermarket parts.

 

Too bad they have an Independant Front Suspension

 

You JUST upgraded your DII, ARB bar, new tires, etc,you will have to start over. Now if you were looking for a Montero, I would say go for it, man I miss that trk. (NOT the Sport)

You will NEVER get what your trk is worth in sale or trade.

 

You already know you are going to keep it, you just want affirmation from us, well, you'll get it.

 

IFS is a joke for serious off-roading, it's fine for light trail riding. I've drove my brothers FJ on road and I perfer my rover.

oh yeah, and my rover is about $24K less than his FJ.

 

FJ's are all looks, no preformance, we went out to my friends mountain with a 2007 FJ, we had to leave it at the bottom. I would keep the rover, but if you actaully think about changing, at least go with a nice jeep or something. Sorry but FJ's are a joke. Good luck, but I would keep the rover.

 

Oh and gas will suck just as bad, even if it gets a bit better it wont save you that much. FJ's get 16/20 Discovery's get 13/18 in good shape. FJ's also hold 19 gallons of gas Discovery's hold 24.6 gallons.
