Default Cool tools to ask for or buy as a gift for xmas

I received a form-a-funnel a few weeks ago as a gift and have to admit it is a pretty slick tool. What it is is a sheet of lead sandwiched between 2 layers of silicone. It is one of those tools where every time I use it I come up with new ideas what I can use it for. I think it is around $25 and they also have a larger size which I probably will get also. Made in the USA too.

This IR thermometer is also a must have for the land rover owner. These have been on sale for $20 lately so look for coupons in the HF fliers. I just used mine the other day to make sure all was right with my cooling system after I flushed my coolant. I also used it to confirm I did not have a stuck caliper on my corolla:

its more for places where you can't use a funnel. Like when I change the filter on out tractor it sticks out the side of the engine and normally it makes a mess with this I can make a "chute" for the oil into the drain pan. I used it on the disco too when I take off the filter. Also works great on transmission pans that don't have a drain you can form a chute and catch the ATF without making a mess.
