I’m going to import a water pump there seems to be a lack of options in nz, if the leak is minor is it safe to drive?
I only use it on weekends and thought I might as well bring in your kit to replace the thermostat at the same time and get the guys to fit it
id read that the leak was a fail safe to show the bearing was going ?
not sure if that’s true

If it is leaking out of the water pump weep hole the coolant will eat the bearing pretty fast. I would check to see if the bearing has any play in it yet. A tiny bit of play might be ok but I would not put more than a couple hundred miles on it like that.
