Engine install with heads on
Can't seem to find a definite answer on this.
4.6 04 Disco 2
Long story short, is there any reason that the engine can't be installed WITH the heads on the block?
I'm the process of fixing pulled threads on the block side and installing studs and would rather torque to determine if new threads are good or not before motor is in the vehicle.
Thanks

With valve covers on! I put a small bead of gasket maker RTV on the valve cover gaskets, snugged the bolts down by hand, let them sit overnight, tighten in the morning. Zero leaks.
Make sure to address the CPS harness retaining clip and ground strap on the back of the driver side head before the engine is completely in place.
Good luck!

Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I figured, but wanted to double check.
