OKAY, this is nuts, and thank God I SCUBA dive...you can use a low pressure port plug from any SCUBA regulator to replace the crappy plastic thing...chrome plated brass with a silicone rubber washer !!!

You can not use a standard screw on the tee.
Are you able to get the broken part out of the tee? If so, BMW carries that bleed screw or you can go to British Parts of Utah and buy one.

Hi Mike, thanks for the tip. I was able to get the end out...Regarding the SCUBA LP Port screw; when I looked at the thread it looked to me to be about 3/8" and I was tempted to head to the hardware store and run it through the thread checker, but of course that wouldn't probably jive with the washer seal. It was really just a pure stroke of inspiration to try the LP screw. It fit like a charm and sealed perfectly. Of course it doesn't have that neat bleed slot on it, so I lost a little extra coolant when bleeding it...but hey, any port in a storm as they say. All that being said, I'll get on of those BMW screws though because it's longer and will grab more thread which is always more peace of mind !

Default Bleeder Screw

Hello;

I am new member, and definetly not as savvy as some of the senior members, but I had a situation where mine was lost while I was checking for air in the system. I was out of town, and in a pinch I removed the top bolt holding the starter on, screwed it in, and it fit. At least enough to get me home, till i could get a proper fix.
