Default Coolant Flush & Refill on 2000

Alright, so I have the 2 gallons of coolant and was ready to drain, flush, and refill, but as soon as I got under the truck I couldn't find the engine drain plugs...either of them!! I must have looked at the RAVE manual forever trying to figure out where exactly they were. Anyways I'm trying to figure out what exactly I need to do to get this job done...any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator...done.

Refill with plain water, leave the reservoir cap off, start the truck with the heater on full hot.
Idle 15 min.
Cool 15 min and drain.
Repeat until nothing but clean water comes out.
Refill with any aluminum safe coolant.
Do not use DexCool.

Depending on how dirty your cooling system is it should take no more than an hour.
Follow the bleed procedure sticky ontop of the page for when you are putting in your coolant.

Out of curiosity, why not use DexCool? I understand that in order to switch to normal coolant, you need to completely change out the DexCool. But if you maintain the system, whats the issue?
