Default coolant hoses

my ghetto cooling system is about as custom as it can be on these things. i found some reinforced silicone upper sections to work nicely, but i need the split off octopus that comes from stat to water pump. currently running a replacement that is the original style. the replacement offerings are now an updated version with a plastic y and extra bs clamps. not only do i not want this updated style, I don't think it will work for me. i have an inline water pump and a temp sender section incorporated down there.
anyone found any original style replacements, lately?
stole some rn pictures for reference. the first is what i want, the second is what i am finding....

Call MiamiBritish they list one PEH000080 "no clamps" looks like a NOS.

LAND ROVER LOWER RADIATOR HOSE DISCOVERY 2 II 99-04 PEH000080 ALLMAKES4x4 | Miami British Corp.

I hope this is it because I almost broke my neck on the ladder in my garage looking for one of my spares. Good Luck!

That sucks. I'll check a few spots later to see if anyone has any NOS and let you know.
If not, looks like you might have to fab the splitter. If you can weld it would be a perfect out of SS or even aluminum.

that was my first thought....just to weld up some stainless, but i am a little concerned with weight on the bottom radiator inlet. i have a stainless clamp and wrap covering a 2.5 section of silicone hose. this is connecting the plastic radiator to the aluminum water pump. there is probably a good place to bolt on a couple of supports, but they would need long risers (like bent under to foot beneath the batteries) otherwise i fear that plastic inlet would be taking a bit more strain than I'd like.

My '04 had the plastic y thingy on it and I suspect it was original. I replaced it after 10 years and 110,000 miles and it looked fine, as did the clamps. I find those factory spring clamps are pretty decent at sealing things up - the first time they are used. It's when they get re-used that they tend to leak. My replacement was also a plastic one. It's no different than what they use for the bleeder tee. I'd stick with OEM for those though. Not sure that I'd want to rely on some plastic from a random aftermarket supplier.

This doesn't help Dusty, but that same plastic part on my friend's '04 failed this month and is somehow leaking while the original style hose in my '99 is still going strong. (Borrowed time I suppose; I hope I haven't jinxed it.)

I think I will weld up some pipe. I gave up on the search for the piece that is sans the plastic. I have my original to use as a model. I think the one that is on there is about 2 years old and it was also without the y

Dusty, no joy on that hose. I thought I had 2 spares, no luck. The response to 43 emails was the same, "If you find any grab me one". So it looks like it's time to get out the welder.

If you are thinking the weight of SS will be an issue go with aluminum. It looks like if no more NOS hose shows up that's what I'll be doing. Forget that BS "plastic" bit!
