Very common and a easy DIY fix.

You need to start reading up on your problem before you post a question that has been answered as many times as that one has.

ajordan, I just disconnected the hoses at the throttle body and left the ports open...I put a bolt in the line coming from the coolant reservoir..if you need me to I can take a pic of mine.

btw, I'm up in woodstock..you ever do any off-roading with your rover?

Remove the air intake tube from the throttle body, you will find two coolant lines going to the bottom of the t-body, that is where your t-body heater plate is.
Unbolt it, replace the gasket, re-attach, done.
It is a $3 part and a 15 min job.

why does rover insist on all these little goofy things that go wrong inevitably?

It probably does not matter if you remove the plate or not. However, there might be a chance removing that plate could decrease the speed of the air within the throttle body assembly and negatively effect performance.
