Default Coolant leak

I seem to have coolant leaking from the bottom of the TB. I know that it has something to do with heating the TB in cold climates, at least in most cars. Would it hurt to disconnect the hoses and bypass this? Thanks

I did that over 2 years ago with mine and haven't had any problems with it.

I just had that problem with my 2000 Discovery. I wastopping off the expansion tank every couple a days.I thought I had a bad head gasket, turned out to be the T.B. heater plate was leaking. The dealer sells a throttle body heater plate kit for about $20.00. It comes with a new heater plate, gasket and new bolts. Don't forget to buy a throttle body gasket. Now the fluid level stays full and no more air going through the heater core.

Sweet, I am going to bypass it tomorrow then. I just now started seeing it and thought I would have to replace it. Solves one problem, onto the next.
