Default Coolant leak at this part - what is it?

I have searched the forum and I'm sure its there somewhere but I just can't find the info. Guess that happens when you don't know what the part is, can't even search the RAVE and it doesn't seem to be shown in the coolant system but I might be missing something.

I have a slow leak from the gasket on the part in this picture. Its very slow and you can't even see it leaking but there is evidence of a leak. I replaced the gasket on the other side but for the life of me I can't recall where I got the part or what its called. Old age is a B%#%.

Anyway, does anyone know what this part is and where I can get a gasket for it?

Thanks in advance.

It is the secondary air control valve. LR Part #WAV100380

LAND ROVER SECONDARY AIR CONTROL VALVE RANGE 99-02 DISCOVERY 2 II WAV100380 MB | Miami British

Not sure why it should be leaking....didn't think anything passed through it but air.

wait, as ralph said. I think no coolant.
that thing is in the line if fire of your reservoir and by the heater core hoses. I think a better test is required. maybe tape/zip tie a shop towel/rag. on your overflow hose and res lid to see if it is coming from there

What everyone above said. Check the hose above in your picture. They are the heater hoses and have coolant running through them.

Sometimes the bleed screw will have the slightest little gap or hole and can blow the coolant back towards that area. Another thing to check. Best bet would be to pressure test the coolant system. You for sure will see where it is leaking from then.

You can use paint...but I like to use Jing. It is a screen capture and allows you to edit. So for instance see attached.

Yep, I use paint. Just right click on the image and save to your desktop, then right click on the picture on the desktop and click edit, open with paint, make your red circles, save, upload the picture and BAM!, dino DNA
