Morning! I have been working through determining the source of a coolant leak. It is not big but consistent. I did a coolant UV light trace this morning.
Here is where I am at. I drove around for 10 minutes or so. As expected, the drips were visible in the front drive shaft area. I was able to look down from the passenger side and see the general area of the leak (I believe). Below is a picture with the UV light. Area #1 is the area of the source. It is blocked by the firewall, etc. so i could not see the true source area. It drips and forms a flow in area #2...eventually exiting in the front drive shaft area. Much gut tells me this is a compromised head gasket given the location. Any thoughts or reactions? Thank you again to everyone that has weighed in.
Looks like trace #1 is above the lower exhaust manifold bolt, if that is so then it is above the head and unlikely to be a headgasket. If that is true, then the lower intake manifold gasket is leaking at the rear.
