Default Coolant tank interchangeability

Hi
I'm new to this forum. I have a 2003 Disco which needs a new coolant reservior tank. An on line search shows that the Discovery 2 tank switch part numbers in 2002.
My question, is the early tank (99-02) really different from the later tank (02-04)?
Thx

Held both tanks side by side and could not see any differences.

But I'm guessing they had different part numbers?

They are the same. While replacing the bottle, install a new cap and t/stat and consider flushing out all the Dexcool and going to Peak or one of the other better green coolants along with adding a bottle of Water Wetter, Purple Ice or Super Cool for BG.
