Default coolant temp sensor

Hello
Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced a coolant temp sensor in a disco II.
If so can you help me out and let me know where it is located. I need to replace it. Is this a difficult job should I attempt to do it on my own or take it in I already have the part.
I have owned my disco for about 2 years now and have done small repairs here and there nothing mager.
Thanks

D2 is different from mine, but I think you should get a workshop manul (rave cd) before starting something like this. After replacing, you will need to bleed the system...

Looks like you need to pull the alternator. Pull the plug and remove the old one. Put some loc-tite on the new one, install it and put the alt. back on. Then top off the coolant. Not sure if this sounds like what you are up for, or not.

I am just going off the manual. Mine was a lot easier in my D1...
