Default Coolant/Temperature gauge issue

I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE, on my way to work a week or so ago, my rover died as a was stopping at a stop sign. It would not restart, no check engine or noticeable problems prior to this. The temperature gauge on the dash went all the way to the cold end and the red warning light came on. Had my rover pulled home and later that afternoon it would crank but seems to be leaking water or coolant underneath.

Any suggestions, anything would help.

Default Stop driving

A crazy temp gauge can be caused by low coolant in the system.....you have leak....so you have low coolant.

Do NOT drive it until you can source the leak and fix it. Check your hoses first to see if it is an easy fix. You do not want to drive your Rover if it is at all hot....aluminum block + heat = bye bye engine
