Thanks I'll do a search. I have the brass bleeder screw now and want to replace just the T to keep the brass screw. Don't like the plastic.

Oh, I see. I think I bought a hose kit from D.A.P. Enterprises Land Rover Parts, Restoration & Service that came with the T with the bleeder screw. Don't quote me on that though. It was a long time ago. I'm not sure if they sell just the T piece by itself. You could always check their website or give them a call. They're usually pretty helpful with stuff like this. If they don't know for sure, they'll go out back and check out the part for you. So you'll know for sure what you're getting.

Drained and refilled, bled with 50/50 (green), temps in the garage on a 10 minute idle were 189. Took it for a test drive, highest I saw on the 10 minute town/highway drive were 185, settling on 183. Climbed to 189 back in the driveway.
Tapping was better...not constant, and came and went during stops. Very satisfied with today's work!

It's unfortunate that your engine is still tapping at the lower temp. One day down the road when you get more comfortable with the truck you could modify the top hose assembly to accept an inline housing, go with a 175-degree thermostat, and see if you can keep your temps just under the tapping threshold. Your engine is maintaining a good temp range with that 180 you just got. Did you turn on the AC? Get it on the highway? Sometimes I wonder if they have been fine-tuning these LR stats because they used to allow a greater variation in operating temp, like 15-20 degrees.
