Default A Couple More Questions

My first question may be really dumb:

1 - I have the factory radio in my 02 Disco...there is a button on it that says CD...am I missing something here? The radio has a cassette player in it. If I had a CD player it would be in dash, unless it was a changer? Should I look somewhere for a changer?? If I push the Tape button, it tells me no tape...which is correct. I feel dumb even asking this question.

2 - Did these vehicles come with keyless entry? All I have is one key. If they did come with keyless, is the receiver already there and all I would need is a transmitter?

3 - How do I get my radio code? I have no owners manual.

Thanks again...I am glad I found this forum...and I promise my questions will slow down as I figure everything out about what I have

holland-there is no such thing as a stupid question.
Look under the passenger seat, that is where the CD changer is located. Or would be located.
They use the same stereo weather or not you ahve a CD changer, that is why it says "CD" on it.
Yes they came with keyless entry, and yes everything is already there all you need is the remote. You can buy the remote for a DII off e-bay, but here is a FYI, only the dealer can program it and it is $100 for them to program it.
As for the radio code, call the dealer with your VIN# and they can look it up for you.

From the manual:

1.The CD autochanger is located under the right
hand front seat. The panel at the front of the seat
pedestal allows access to insert and remove
magazines.
2.KEYS AND HANDSETS
You have been supplied with two remote
handsets with integral keys which operate all
locks.
The key number is stamped on a tag attached to
the key ring. Check that the key number has
been entered in the space provided on your
Security card.
If required, additional handsets can be
programmed into the system by your dealer.
If the remote handset is lost, contact a Land
Rover dealer, who can supply replacement
units.
3. The dealer can get the code for you - just fax them proof of ownership and they'll look it up via the VIN.
