Unfortunately they don't have the correct heads in stock, so I'm going to have to rebuild the heads. Anyone have any experience with that or a link with a "how to"? I have the ones with secondary air. Also, did you get the gasflowed heads from Turner? Maybe I could just send them my heads for them to gasflow and have them send me back a long block.

About the only thing you can do on heads at home is lap the valves, everything else needs machine shop time. IMO it is worth the money to take the heads in to a machine shop and get it done, it's just one of those things you cannot do yourself without the right machinery.

I have secondary air heads. Turner had heads when I ordered the engine. I am sending my old heads back to Turner for a core return. I would bet you could send your heads to Turner and they would do the work and then install them, however shipping would kill you. Its not cheap!

Any need to deep clean the heads? I've heard of some people using an acid bath to get all the old gunk off.

Take them to a shop and have them cleaned. It's about $250 per pair to have the shop clean them, shave them, do the valves and seals, etc.
