yup, you have a fouled plug. Get the $.98 Champions in. If your misfire goes away, and you are going for a drive, throw a can of BG44K in the tank.

What happens if you don't fix a cracked exhaust manifold? BTW the pics are great but the close up of your fingers gives me a mild panic attack...

I got AutoLite ones from Walmart. For some reason I thought they were Champions. Meh. Still have the mis-fire. I took it on about a 40 mile round trip. Again, runs like a raped ape on the freeway, like a dead elephant in the city. Gonna pull the plugs tomorrow and see what they look like.

Thanks Night. It's a 5MP Kodak Easyshare I bought off craigslist for $50. I took some wicked cool pictures with it this winter, and posted them on Panoramio.

What, I didn't tell you guys I'm from the land of giants? LOL At least my knuckles aren't hairy like Spike555's! And about the manifold, I was wondering that same thing myself. I suppose it would get worse, but IDK.

You think my knuckles are bad, you should see my...aw, never mind.

My exhaust manifold has been cracked for over 2 years and who knows how many miles before the 26,000 miles that I have put on her.
Has not gotten any worse. I might fix it one day, and then again I might not. Leaks when cold and not when hot.

Any update? I have the exact same problem, but with cylinder #6. Haven't checked exhaust manifold. Misfire is bad in city, but OK over 68 mph.

Same story, different truck. Have you checked the trouble codes? That's how I found it was the injector (or the circuit). If it's your injector, I got mine really really cheap....

I appreciate it, but I'm concentrating on this misfire for now. That manifold can wait.
