my 98 disco le has a bad leak from a crack in the passenger exhaust header. i checked hedman, borla, and gibson with no luck. i would like to upgrade instead of replacing it. i searched here and over at landroversonly. any suggestions?

 

There was a recall for cracking manifolds on Discos a while ago. You might want to have it checked by a dealer for a potential free fix. Mine was. Good luck.

no luck on the warranty but they were cool enough to give me the radio code over the phone.

 

what about the recall, is it fixable under recall, mine is one they will fix under recall but it is not cracked.

 

i gave them the last 8 of my vin and he checked it for open recalls. there were no open recalls on my disco. i am not sure if it needs to be cracked in order to be replaced.

 

when i called land rover north america to check about another recall, which was not for mine he checked all the recalls and the exhaust manifold came up, so i called a deler and he said they would look at it and if it was cracked they would change it, and if it was ok then they wouldent.
